Buddhist Ethics 101 with Charles Huschle

Buddhist Ethics

With ethical issues on everyone’s minds, now is an excellent time to join a three-part workshop called Buddhist Ethics 101 with Charles Huschle.

Want to know what “karma” really means? Is it okay to lie to help someone? How should I handle my feelings of guilt for having stolen a pack of Juicy Fruit from Bliss Department Store 50 years ago? And, how do we decide what to do when confronted with matters of life and death?

During what he describes as a brief but interactive overview, participants will learn how Buddhists answer the essential ethical question: “What is the right thing to do?”

Sponsored by the Shelter Island Public Library, Buddhist Ethics 101 takes place via Zoom on three consecutive Thursdays, March 10, 17, and 24, at 5:30 PM.

Huschle is a lay-ordained Zen Buddhist and recently worked as an interfaith hospital chaplain. He offers spiritual and personal counseling in grief support, end of life, addiction, and abuse survival.
