Home of the first Europeans to live on the Island, Sylvester Manor was passed down among descendants until the current heirs decided to turn the former slave plantation into an educational farm. The 200+ acre estate, with its intact 1730s manor house, hosts a Community Supported Agriculture program and farm stand, and offers concerts, exhibits and other cultural events.
