Santa’s Shop and Holiday Lights at The Chequit

The season is upon us and soon we will see holiday lights adorning homes and businesses around the Island. One building that has not been lit up lately is The Chequit. But new owner Stacey Soloviev says there will be holiday lights at The Chequit starting this weekend.

Meantime, Santa’s Shop at The Chequit is open Friday through Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM. Soloviev also owns and operates Santa’s Christmas Tree Farm in Cutchogue. The pop-up shop at The Chequit is a seasonal satellite offering holiday gifts and decorations. Christmas trees are also available.

Holiday lights at The Chequit will be turned on Sunday, December 6 starting at 4 PM. Please note the date was changed due to expected inclement weather. To mark the occasion, The Chequit will serve fresh donuts and hot chocolate.

Soloviev says she intends for the event to become an annual tradition. CDC guidelines for mask-wearing and social distancing will be in effect.
