Volunteer workdays (and perks)

If you’re interested in supporting Mashomack Preserve and don’t mind providing some needed labor, join the volunteer workdays (and enjoy some volunteer perks) in April.

Preserve staff needs help to mend some fences along the Coastal Bluff trail, and free trees of invasive vines. The goal is to enhance habitats for wildlife while improving access for visitors.

In exchange for volunteering, you’ll be welcome to join volunteer-only guided hikes, where staff provide insights about newly accessible areas.

Advance registration is required for each event. Here’s the schedule for April.

  • Volunteer Workday: Split-Rail Fence Installation on Coastal Bluff, Tuesday, April 12 from 9 AM to noon — RSVP by April 7
  • Guided Hike for Volunteers: Yellow Trail Hike, Tuesday, April 12 from 5 to 6:30 PM — RSVP by April 9
  • Guided Hike for Volunteers: Coastal Loop Hike, Saturday, April 16 from 9 to 10:30 AM — RSVP by April 13
  • Volunteer Workday: Free the Trees, Saturday, April 23 from 1 to 4 PM — RSVP by April 20
