Remember the joy of watching the twinkling lights of fireflies on a summer evening? Join a guided Firefly Walk in Mashomack Preserve's meadows to learn about this amazing insect while using hand nets to get a close-up view of "nature's fireworks."
As the last holds of winter finally loosen on the landscape, new life can be seen emerging all around during April at Mashomack Preserve.
Visit Mashomack Preserve in December while trails are open daily from dawn to dusk. Come January, the preserve will be accessible to the public on weekends only.
