Join Mashomac Preserve for a Dragonfly Field Day. The Nature Conservancy dragonfly expert Kevin Munroe will lead an exploration of Mashomack’s freshwater ponds and the beneficial “devil’s darning needles” that call them home.

“We will try to catch and identify (and then release) these colorful, amazing mosquito eaters,” Mashomack says on the event webpage.

The Dragonfly Field Day takes place on Saturday, June 18, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Mashomack Preserve. RSVP by Thursday, June 16 to MashomackPreserve@tnc.org.

All ages are welcome and should arrive prepared with:

  • Shoes that can get muddy or sandy
  • Bottle of water
  • Bug spray

Events at Mashomack Preserve are free of charge, but donations are welcome.
