Buy tickets for Historical Society’s 1960s Dance Party

Buy your tickets now for the Shelter Island Historical Society’s 1960s Dance Party. The event celebrates the nonprofit’s 100th anniversary.

The Shelter Island Historical Society was originally formed in 1922 but through the years, it was rather inactive, the Society says on the event notice.

“In 1966 Island resident Andrew Fiske of Sylvester Manor revitalized the Society and, in celebration, we are hosting a 1960s dance party as the Society’s primary 2022 fundraiser. Proceeds will support our educational exhibits and events.”

Advance tickets for the party on Saturday, July 30 from 6 to 10 PM are $75 per person. After July 24, tickets are $100 per person. Follow this link to purchase yours.

Participants are invited to wear 1960s attire to dance the night away. East End Entertainment will provide music. Send song requests to info@shelterislandhistorical.org.

The Roaming Islander food truck will serve delicious period food and Top Hops Beer Shop will provide its Half Pint Vintage Tap Truck. Eleanor Labrozzi will set up a “photo booth” and mail a complimentary photo to each attendee.
