Vine Street Café: New additions to menu, market offerings

New offerings at Vine Street Café include seared day boat scallops with summer succotash.

Our friends at Vine Street Café wrote to tell us of new additions to the menu and market offerings.

The restaurant is now open daily with dinner service from 5 PM to 10 PM Monday through Thursday, to 11 PM on Friday and Saturday, and to 9 PM on Sunday.

New additions to the menu include:

  • Heirloom tomato and burrata salad with basil, pickled red onion, and olive oil.
  • Seared day boat scallops with summer succotash
  • Tuesday special — VSC lobster roll, served with watercress and hand-cut frites
  • Wednesday special — Texas-style Brisket, served as a sandwich or platter

For The Market

VSC Market — around the back of the building — is open daily from 2 to 8 PM.

“We have beautiful water-resistant handmade tote bags that can be used at the beach or as a shopping bag,” VSC says, noting the company that makes them provides fair trade wages.

The market is a great place to pick up favorite VSC dishes to serve at home, including freezer items that guarantee you’ll have something delicious to eat no matter when you arrive on the Island.

Other seasonal specials:

  • pints of passion fruit sorbet
  • VSC dry rub perfect for your summer cookouts
  • grab and go items for lunch, such as chicken salad, potato salad, guacamole and salsa, fried chicken, and more
