About Nick Kardaras

Over the past 20 years, very few people have not been impacted by electronic devices. For most, they make life easier. But for those whose lives have been taken over by social media, gaming, and so-called connections with strangers, regaining control can be a challenge.

Kardaras will show that for many, digital device domination has been psychologically destructive and sometimes deadly. He calls phone addiction harder to treat than heroin because it is “more ubiquitous, socially acceptable, and harder to live without.”

While not anti-technology, Kardaras says that use needs to be age appropriate. So many young children end up in what looks like a hypnotic trance while interacting with their screens. Hence the name of his first book, “Glow Kids,” written in 2016.

Kardaras will explain the problem in great detail and, more importantly, discuss solutions. By sharing his analysis of the damage caused by over-dependence on digital devices, he hopes to help people of all ages forge a happier, healthier future.
