“We always dreamed of a Shelter Island pop-up” said Christina “Teene” Cahill, director of Top Hops marketing, events and education. She’s owned a Heights home with her family for nearly 20 years.
“Shelter Island has changed my life and the life of my family beyond measure and I simply can’t imagine where I would be without it,” she said. “I’m madly in love with the community, the Island’s rich and fascinating history, its entirely unique spirit and fact that Mother Nature so readily beckons to me each and every day.”
About Top Hops
Cahill’s beer expert husband, Ted Kenny, launched Top Hops Beer Shop on Orchard Street in Manhattan back in 2010. It’s a unique beer-obsessed hybrid — tasting bar meets craft and import bottle shop meets classroom.
In the bar — back when we could gather — you could have a flight of beers, a cold draft, a beer friendly bite or fill a growler for later. In the shop, are fridges stocked with 700+ bottles and cans from around the world.
As merchants and advocates, the couple host educational events and brewmaster visits where they foster an appreciation for the craft and history of great beer.

For the delivery selections, they’ve made every effort to curate a mix to suit a range of tastes. They’re selling growlers, crowlers (32 oz cans), bottles, cans, and select wines in bottles.
Teene and Ted want all islanders to know their team is strictly following all CDC and local recommendations for the safe transfer of products from their shops to your door.
