Just in time for the 2022 holiday season, stock up on local produce, pork, and other goods during Sylvester Manor Farmstand winter hours. You can also sign up for an 18-week winter egg share.
Choose from curated products and the last fresh produce of the season. In November, the stand (21 Manwaring Road, Shelter Island, NY 11964) will be open from 9 AM to 5 PM on:
- Saturday 11/19 and Sunday 11/20
- Tuesday, 11/22 and Wednesday, 11/23
Produce available includes:
- Apples
- Arugula
- Asian Pears
- Broccoli
- Broccolini
- Cabbage
- Cauliflower
- Collards
- Garlic
- Green d’Anjou pears
- Herbs (oregano, sage, thyme
- Kale
- Potatoes (fingerling and Yukon gold)
- Radicchio
- Red onions
- Salad mix
- Scallions
- Squash (acorn, butternut, carnival, and honeynut)
- Sweet potatoes
Sylvester Manor pork cuts and products include bacon, breakfast sausage, chorizo, Italian sausage (hot or sweet), pork chops, and spare ribs.
Choose from local products to complete your shopping or for giving: butter, cheeses, chocolates, coffees, cookies, crackers, cured meats, granolas, honey, infused oils and vinegar, jams, pasta, sea salts, and body products, candles, and Sylvester Manor branded merchandise.
After Thanksgiving and egg share
Sylvester Manor will again take part in the Riverhead Winter Farmers Market (139 Main Rd, Riverhead, NY 11901) with pork and eggs on Saturdays from November 26 thru April 2023.
Here on Shelter Island, Sylvester Manor offers an 18-week winter egg share. Pick up your share at the farm stand on Fridays from December 2 through March 31, 2023. The cost is $180, plus an online processing fee. Use this link to register on the Sylvester Manor website: www.sylvestermanor.org/csa.
