The Eccentric Bagel celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week with discounts for educators from May 8 through 12.

“We deeply appreciate the unwavering commitment of teachers,” said Darryn Weinstein, owner of The Eccentric Bagel. “Teachers week gives us an opportunity to show our gratitude and make their experience at The Eccentric Bagel even more enjoyable.”

The 25 West Neck Road shop is open daily from 7 AM to 3 PM (2 PM on Sunday). It offers teachers a 25 percent discount on any food purchase during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Teachers can select from freshly baked bagels with various spreads, artisanal coffees, and satisfying sandwiches.

The Eccentric Bagel encourages all of us to join the celebration. Darryn suggests expressing gratitude to the teachers who have positively impacted our or our children’s lives. And we can help spread the word about the special discount.

Recently, a group of 2nd-grade students and teachers went to The Eccentric Bagel to learn how bagels are made. And last year, Earth Science students used the shop’s handmade bagels to study eccentricity. Read more in our post, “So, just how eccentric is that bagel.”
