Suffolk County health officials reported there were 2,735 confirmed COVID-19 cases, as of 2:30PM Thursday.
That’s up 475 from the day before. There are 287 patients in hospitals (up 81), with 103 requiring intensive care unit treatment (up 36).
There have been 22 COVID-19 deaths in the county, up 2 from March 22. This includes seven residents of related to a local senior community.
On Shelter Island, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases was reduced from two to one. No explanation was provided by county health officials.

The two who died most recently were men in their 80s with underlying health conditions who were under mandatory quarantine at a local hospital. No further details were provided.
