Mashomack Preserve will host new hour-long, drop-off programs for kids ages 4 and up this summer.

Called Summer Seedlings, the programs take place on Thursdays in July and August.

“We’ll explore the natural work around us and learn about different animals that call the Preserve home,” Mashomack said in an email blast.

Activities will include crafts, snacks, and exploring Mashomack’s trails. The session dates/times are:

  • Turtle Time, July 28 from 9 to 10 AM
  • Muddling in the Marsh, August 11 from 3 to 4 PM*
  • Furry Friends, August 25 from 9 to 10 AM

*Requires adult guardians

A few EE spots left

In other news, Mashomack says a few spaces remain in its popular Environmental Explorers program. Kids ages 8 to 12 can participate in this nature camp experience. Scholarships are available.
