Owner Diana Peronace says the store, with its ideal central location, has just what you need to achieve your holiday plans. From pantry basics to gourmet supplies, from gift items to all the freshest ingredients for a festive meal, the Shelter Island IGA has it all.
“We have local produce including broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower,” Peronace told us. And, she said, the IGA can also supply party platters featuring Boars Head heroes, cheeses, fruits, or veggies.
For a New York-style brunch, build a bagel platter. Need a hostess gift or sweet treat for someone on your holiday list? Peronace suggests the Ferrara Panettone Italian specialty cake.

Holiday shopping hours at the Shelter Island IGA
The Shelter Island IGA is a one-stop shop to get into the holiday spirit. Grab wreaths and garlands to adorn your home, purchase delicious treats for holiday giving, and plan a festive meal.
The store at 74 North Ferry Road is usually open daily, 7 AM to 8 PM. On Christmas Eve, Peronace aims to close at 3 PM. But she says it’s a soft target and won’t shut the doors on arriving customers.
