2019 Shelter Island 10K/5K registration underway

With 17 weeks to go until the starting gun sounds, 2019 10K/5K registration is underway. This year marks the event's 40th anniversary.

Spring soccer clinic

Time to sign your kids up for the Recreation Department's spring soccer clinic. The program takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays for 16 sessions starting April 2.

New: weekly Tai Chi at library

Weekly Tai Chi classes are the latest offering at the Shelter Island Public Library. Instructor Denise Gillies leads six Tai Chi sessions on Wednesdays starting March 6. The hour-long classes begin at 5:30 p.m. Sign up at the library, or call 631-749-0042.

US Sailing honors Pete Bethge
