Shelter Island may have only a couple of hundred students, but you can be sure they'll go all out, together with faculty and staff, to celebrate school pride during School Spirit Week.
The PTSA seeks Holiday Boutique donations, especially gift items for dads, grandpas, uncles and brothers. If you have new or gently used items suitable for holiday giving, drop them off in the school lobby through Monday, December 16.
Copies of The Inlet for October are out, and once again the student editors and writers have done impressive work reflecting on what's happening in their school and the world at large.
The PTSA Back to School BBQ has been rescheduled for Friday, September 13, 5 to 7 p.m. on the school playground. It was postponed due to inclement weather last Friday. At the event, the PTSA provides music, and grilled burgers and hot dogs. Please bring a side dish and dessert to share.
The PTSA year end potluck supper gives the organization's adult members a chance to celebrate the work accomplished on behalf of Shelter Island's students. Bring a dish to share Friday, May 31, 5:30 p.m., 64A N. Midway Road.
