Birdwatching checklists for popular trails

To help fellow Islanders looking for a way to pass the time while we’re hunkered down, Nick Hamblet has created birdwatching checklists for popular trails.

He’s posted laminated maps and birdwatching checklists at the entry to many of the Island’s public trails. Below find links to checklists that you can print out and use to keep track of the birds you see during your walks. We’ll add more as they become available.

Please observe rules about social distancing while visiting these trails.

Birds of Sylvester Manor

Sylvester Manor Community Day

Sylvester Manor, the home for 11 generations of descendants of the Island’s first European settlers, offers trails across 240+ of a mix of forest, field and waterfront. The house is closed for the winter season but you can park in designated areas on the grounds at 80 North Ferry Road, or along roadsides bordering the property.
