The Shelter Island Educational Foundation’s spring grants cycle is open; applications are due April 15.
SIEF accepts grant requests twice a year from Shelter Island students, teachers, and institutions for educational experiences beyond those available through the school curriculum and budget.
For example, the Fall 2021 grants offset costs for a summer trip to Spain for Shelter Island students and provided for a tall-ships trip for 7th graders, cheerleading stunt training, dance classes, Broadway shows, and ethnic studies program in New York City, as well as a unique soccer camp experience.
Applications for the spring grants are available on the SIEF website, shelterislandedfoundation.org.
