See Shelter Island student work at the annual Student Exhibition, a nearly 70-year-old tradition at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill.

The exhibition, which runs through April 16, features the work of more than 1,000 young artists from East End schools.

“Working with their art teachers and in art clubs, the students demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and technical skill in media ranging from painting to sculpture, drawing, and photography,” the exhibition notice says.

Shelter Island School art teacher Cat Brigham says the show has three collaborative works by students in grades Pre-K 3 through 8. It also features individual works by these high school students: Dariana Duran Alvarado, Alfie Brigham, Mae Brigham, Alexandra Burns, Hayden Davidson, Leonardo Dougherty, D’Andre Ealy, Mary Genari, Lio Napoles, Bazzy Quigley-Dunning, El Schack, Margaret Schultheis, Quinn Sobejan, and Harrison Weslek.

Admission is free for students and their families. Find details at parrishart.org/exhibitions/2023-student-exhibition/.
