Shelter Island Receiver of Taxes Annmarie Seddio reminds Island property owners that their second-half tax payments are due May 31.
“Please use the stub from your tax bill as you will no longer receive a reminder notice,” Seddio says.
You can send checks payable to the Town of Shelter Island Receiver of Taxes to PO Box 1854, Shelter Island, NY 11964. If you prefer to make your payment online, follow this link to the online search and payment system, https://egov.basgov.com/shelterisland/.
You can use any of the following options to look up and pay your bill: the bill number, property address, or owner’s name. If you use an e-check, there is a flat $1.75 fee. If you use a credit or debit card, the fee is 2.45 percent.
