You’ll have to act fast if you want to register kids for Mashomack Preserve’s Environmental Explorers program. The popular summer program, modified after a year-long hiatus due to the pandemic, will have three sessions of four-days each. Registration is by email only starting Saturday, May 29.

“Join us on the trails and on the water as we hike, paddle and explore Mashomack’s amazing fields, forests and waters,” Mashomack Preserve said in an email to supporters. “Safety is our top priority and we will be following carefully researched COVID-19 guidelines to ensure a safe program for all.”

Session 1 is scheduled for Monday, July 12 to Thursday, July 15. Session 2 is scheduled for Monday, August 2 to Thursday, August 5. Both are open to children ages 8 to 12. Session 3 is to take place Monday, August 16 to Thursday, August 19 and is open to ages 8 to 10, only. Hours for all sessions are 9 AM to 2 PM.

In order to make the program available to the greatest number of participants, a child can be registered for just one session. The cost is $350 with scholarships available. To reserve your spot, email mashomackpreserve@tnc.org. Include the child’s name, age and session selection. The preserve will send registration forms and additional information.
