Register for Rec summer youth programs

Registration is underway for Shelter Island Recreation youth summer programs. Due to ongoing concerns relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Town isn’t asking for payments at this time. Recreation staff will contact those who do register with more information, as it becomes available.

You can register online as noted in each description, or you can download this mail in form and send it to: Town of Shelter Island c/o Bethany Ortmann, PO Box 970, Shelter Island NY 11964.

Here’s the lineup:

Indoor programs at Shelter Island School

Students attending the Recreation Department classes offered at the school may also take part in the summer academic program, Leap Into Learning (see description below). Note: This academic program is funded by the school district and is pending budget approval.

A Recreation Department aide will walk Leap Into Learning students to the classrooms for the following programs, so there is no need for a parent/guardian to be present. As this means a 9AM to 2PM day, plan to pack a lunch.
