Library Book and Author Luncheon is a father-son gig

This year’s Shelter Island Public Library’s Book and Author Luncheon is a father-son gig featuring Robert and Sam Lipsyte.

The library welcomes Sam Lipsyte as this year’s Book and Author Luncheon guest. Sam is the author of the short story collections “Venus Drive” and “The Fun Parts” and novels including “Hark,” “The Ask,” “The Subject Steve,” and “Home Land.”

A recipient of a Guggenheim fellowship, he teaches at Columbia University.

Sam is also the son of SIPL friend, Shelter Islander, and author Robert Lipsyte, who’ll interview Sam about his latest book “No One Left to Come Looking for You,” among other subjects.

The event is Sunday, September 10, at 12:30 PM at The Ram’s Head Inn. Buy tickets for $85 per person via Eventbrite or at the library.
