Imagination Island is offering after-school childcare programs for kids ages 3 to 10 two days a week at Shelter Island Presbyterian Church.
Sign up by Wednesday to join for Thursday or Friday. An aide will pick kids up in the Shelter Island School lobby and walk them to the program location across the street. Parents/guardians pick kids up at 5:30 PM.
Many activities will take place outdoors, the organizers say. “We love to be outside!”
When not outside, activities take place in a designated space in the lower level at Fellowship Hall. By popular demand, the program will expand snacktime to incorporate “food art.”
“The snacks are more substantial and the children love being the ‘artist or ‘chef’ depending on the individual.”
The program includes a daily creative project and inquiry-based STEAM activity.
Eight spots are available per day; the cost is $15 per child. To register, send an email by Wednesday at 5 PM to imaginationisland.si@gmail.com. Payment is via Venmo.
