Lorraine Pepper leads a fused glass workshop for adults sponsored by the Shelter Island Recreation Department.
In this workshop, participants will learn the basic techniques of cutting and layering glass to create an original fused glass art piece. Many examples and project ideas will be available. No experience or “artistic” ability is necessary.
The program takes place in the Community Center on Wednesday, April 19, at noon. Registration, $20 per person, is limited to 10; sign up (or join the waitlist) at shelterisland.recdesk.com.
After firing in a kiln at high temperatures, finished pieces will be ready for pickup at a later date.
