A special ARTSI artists art exhibit will make up for the traditional open studio tour opportunity lost this August due to Hurricane Henri. The exhibit opens with a reception on October 9 at 6 PM. All are welcome to attend.
Attend a free Guild Hall screening of "Apex Ape," an experimental film and original creature that explores the changing American image through the lens of local legend. 
Attend a September 25 opening reception for "Long Island Landscapes Revisited," a new exhibit of Janet Culbertson works at MM Fine Art in Southampton. The exhibit runs through October 11.
Perlman Music Program
The Perlman Music Program hosts a summer gala in honor of being "Back at Camp" after a long pandemic hiatus. The event takes places Friday, August 13 and features an open air concert and dinner.
Sylvester Manor resumes its Creekside Concert series with a very special performance by Tuba Skinny, a traditional jazz street band based in New Orleans. The concert takes place on Saturday, August 7 at 5:30 PM. Tickets, $35 per person, are available at sylvestermanor.org.
the Shelter Island History Center: Margaret Garrett's "Moving Images: The 19 & Other Works," and "This Land is Your Land." The latter is a joint venture by the Historical Society and the Town's Community Preservation Fund Advisory Board and celebrates public open spaces across the Island.

The New York City-based gallery dieFirma returns to its Shelter Island outpost with an outdoor art exhibition in an intimate woodland garden. Featuring linoleum collages by artist Bill Miller and sculptures by the late Gloria Kirsch, dieFirma plans site tours, workshops, creative demonstrations, and a series of artist talks.

Finley's Fiction is in full swing with three summer book signings with renown authors Tessa Wegert and Mary Dixie Carter, plus illustrator and cartoonist Keith Bendis. Visit the shop and bring your copy or purchase one while you are there.
Tickets are on sale now for the locally produced musical, "A Hill of Beans: A 1950s Shelter Island Story." Proceeds benefit the Shelter Island Historical Society.
