Police: Fugitive from justice arrest

Shelter Island police arrested Katrina Williams, 30, of Shelter Island on Friday on charges of being a fugitive from justice, according to a police report.

The report says she’s wanted by the state of Washington for “escape, escape from community custody/failure to report as a result of a felony conviction.” SIPD Detective Sergeant Jack Thilberg Saturday issued the report Saturday evening.

The conviction was for a residential burglary, Thilberg said.

Williams was arraigned in Shelter Island Justice Court. The court remanded her to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility to await extradition proceedings, the report said.
