The 44th Annual Shelter Island 10K & 5K Run/Walk kicks off Saturday, June 17, rain or shine, with start times in front of the school for the 10K start at 5:30 PM and the 5K at 5:50 PM.
There’s also a 4 PM free kids run on Fiske Field.
An awards ceremony follows with Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. beer and live music on the Community Center grounds.

In-person and online registration closes on race day at 5:15 PM, with no exceptions.
The entry fee for the 10K is $50, and for the 5K is $40.
There are options for virtual participation, and you’re also welcome to simply make a donation to support the local charitable beneficiaries.
