Suffolk County: 27,819 confirmed COVID-19 cases

Suffolk County reported 27,819 confirmed COVID-19 cases Monday; the number of confirmed cases on Shelter Island rose from six to seven.

As of Sunday, 1,441 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 97 from the day before. Of those, 508 patients required treatment in an intensive care unit, down from 10 the day before.

Another 132 Suffolk County residents have died, bringing the county death toll to 825.
