SIHS: ‘Haunted Long Island Mysteries’

Author Kerriann Flanagan Brosky and medium/paranormal investigator Joe Giaquinto present “Haunted Long Island Mysteries,” tales of their ghostly adventures that weave local history with the spiritual realm.

Presented by the Shelter Island Historical Society, their talk takes place Sunday, October 9 at 3 PM at the Shelter Island History Center.

‘Haunted Long Island Mysteries’

Long Island’s history extends beyond the physical reality surrounding us into the great unknown of the spiritual realm, the Brosky and Giaquinto say.

For example, “deceased patrons and other visitors from the past linger at the Milleridge Inn in Jericho, one of the oldest continually operating restaurants in America.”

“Victims of the Louis V. Place shipwreck aren’t resting so peacefully at the Lakeview Cemetery in Patchogue. Spirits move furniture, knock on doors, and pace through the exhibits at the Long Island Maritime Museum.”

The duo will refer to extensive interviews, research, and investigations as they unveil a new collection of Long Island’s ghostly past.

Join them as they discuss the research and investigations behind the making of Flanagan’s newly released book. During their lecture, you’ll see a PowerPoint presentation of the places they have visited, and listen to EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) along with fascinating Ghost Box recordings from their field investigations.
