The Shelter Island Bucks 2022 opening day features a home game against the Sag Harbor Whalers.
Join other fans on Friday, June 10 at 5 PM at Fiske Field to root for Shelter Island’s team, returning to the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League after a two-year pandemic hiatus.
If you miss the action Friday, the Bucks take on the Riverhead Tom Cats on Saturday, June 11 also at 5 PM. As usual, the Shelter Island Lions Club will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, and soft drinks.
After suspending operations due to pandemic concerns, the team and its management are eager to once again compete for the HCBL championship.
Shelter Island is known around the league for providing the best fan experience and for having the most passionate fans. Add your support to free baseball on opening day and throughout the season.
Players and coaches are housed by host families on the Island. These generous people provide a bed, access to laundry, and some room in the fridge for their players.
