School/Town/Food Pantry team up to provide meals

The Shelter Island School District and Town of Shelter Island are partnering with the Shetler Island Food Pantry to provide meals to anyone in need this summer.

Breakfast and lunch can be picked up at the Food Pantry, in Fellowship Hall at Shelter Island Presbyterian Church (32 North Ferry Road) on Mondays and Wednesdays from noon to 3 PM.  The entrance to the Food Pantry is in the rear of the building.

Meals are provided as follows: on Mondays, 2 breakfasts, and 2 lunches per person per family; and on Wednesdays, 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches per person per family.

If you have any questions, please email support@shelterisland.k12.ny.us or shelterislandfoodpantry@yahoo.com.  This program begins today.
