Police: Arrest at Bootleggers Alley

Maria B. Sinchi, 46, of Queens was arrested 2PM Sunday, May 24 on the beach at Bootleggers Alley and charged with trespass, according to the Shelter Island Police Department. She was released in her own recognizance.

“Subsequent to a police investigation of a person on private property refusing to leave, the above listed defendant was arrestted,” said SIPD Sgt. Terence LeGrady in a news released issued Monday morning. “The defendant was issued an appearance ticket and instructed to return to Shelter Island Town Justice court on a later date and time.”
