Justice Court: Scott G. Sivco

In jury trials held December 10 through December 11, Scott G. Sivco, 30, of Shelter Island was found guilty of menacing in the 3rd degree and not guilty of criminal trespass in the 3rd degree, according to a report by the court clerk.

Guilty verdict

Sivco was arrested on the menacing charge in December 2018, according to published police reports. As a result of the guilty verdict, the judge issued a two-year stay away order of protection for the victim, and:

  • levied a fine of $250 plus a New York State surcharge of $205
  • ordered Sivco to submit a DNA sample for the state database and pay a $50 DNA sample fee

Not guilty verdict

In the other case, the jury found Sivco not guilty of criminal trespass in the 3rd degree. He was arrested on that charge on September 9, 2019.
