Here are the 2021 Shelter Island 10K/5K results as posted by EliteFeats, the footrace organizers (find details at elitefeats.com).
The events — which took place in hot muggy conditions on Saturday, June 19 — were the first in-person footraces on Shelter Island since the start of the pandemic. In 2020, the races were held as virtual events. Due to the pandemic, there was a limit of 1,000 registrants and starters sent off participants in small groups.
Among other precautions, there were no pre- or post-race festivities. An awards ceremony will be held online at a date TBD.
